Soleil bleu (“Blue Sun”) Soleil bleu started out in pastels and a different palette of bright colors (pinks, yellows - warm colors), but as I continued working on it, it just kept feeling not quite right. At the same time, I was preparing my home and wardrobe for fall, and one day as I was changing out my floral arrangements to darker colors for the colder months and putting away our first batch of fall time produce, I felt inspired by the colors and I decided to change the painting to reflect the transition from summer to fall; the sun turning dark/cold.
